Lu is a problem solver

KitKat and I started working with a trainer again. As the trainer noticed  difficulties in KitKat’s abilities - Lu was able to later explain why the physical issues KitKat had  were affecting her performance under saddle. Not only was she able to explain why, Lu was  able to resolve the issue and I could see the result in my next lesson! 

At this point, you can see that I’m actually seeing RESULTS for the initial issues I started out on  this journey to resolve - feet chipping, not wanting to be pet/groomed, inability to relax and her  shoulder issue. I have a horse with beautiful feet who will let me pet/groom her and who can  finally relax without having to forcefully “train it out of her.” I have someone who can not only  explain to me why KitKat can’t do certain things under saddle but who can also FIX the  physical issue behind it.  

Not only is Lu a problem solver, Lu is always responsive and available to answer questions.  You won’t be waiting 3 months or a year to hear back from her.

I work with a large string of horses, anywhere from someone's backyard companion to international show horses. I've had the wonderful experience of seeing many levels of Lu's work. I've had horses benefit from the cold laser, massage treatments, essential oils, and her barefoot work. All of our horses get their "Lu" treatment at least once a month, if not more, and they all appreciate it! I think one of my favorite things, being one of their main riders, is Lu telling me what's happening in their bodies. There’s an old saying, “No foot, no horse.” That’s a good maxim, I suppose, when purchasing a horse. But it doesn’t mean a hill of beans when your beloved mare gets Cushings and falls prey to laminitis. Then, the maxim changes to “No farrier, no foot.” But it doesn’t end there, no!..not by a long shot. Because it takes a special kind of farrier… an artist, a mathematician, an innovator who sees the whole horse and the origins of growth, movement and nutrition. This is Lu Garnas.

My mare Crescent Moon and I are the lucky recipients of all that Lu brings to the party, not the least of which is caring and a drive to help my mare achieve her personal best. Helping such a compromised horse takes diligence and a keen eye for incremental changes as well as TIME.

My horse was injured in late May of this year. I could tell by the look on everyone's faces it was skeptical to try and save him, but of course we did. Lu was referred to me by a Bozeman veterinarian. She has treated him for the past few months and his progress has been greatly accelerated. focus on what is best for the horse

I have had Lu working with my horses for a little over 6 years now and during that time I have presented her with a wide variety of issues and problems. Lu's focus is what is the best thing for the horse and she works diligently to discover and pursue that avenue of treatment. I trust her completely because I know she truly cares about the animals she works with and she doesn't have an ego that will prevent her from saying something is out of her realm or that she needs to research something further. She is extremely knowledgeable and highly trained in a number of different modalities.
